“I loved going to Adams. It was so diverse and fun. I graduated with honors. I had a lot of friends and made them easy. It was a school that was fun to be in. We weren't the best in sports, but we tried. I will always consider myself an Adams Eagle. After moving into Riley district I still attended Adams. I loved it.”

“I attended John Adams my freshman and sophmore years. At the time I believed that Adams was a bad school. I left Adams my junior year to attend Concord High School. Concord is reguarded as a top quality education public school. I, however, disagree. While attending Concord teachers told me that my skills in both reading and math were far beyond most students. They asked where I had attended previously and I was proud to tell them John Adams. It is now my Senior year and I am proud to say that I have transferred back into Adams. It is far and beyond one of the best academic schools in the state. The only reason that test scores are low, is because most students that attend care very little about their education. Teachers are not to be blamed because Adams is home to some of the best teachers in the state.”

“This school holds many wonderful memories for me. While every student has a teacher that gave him/her a hard time, I have to say that overall I felt I always had a voice here. I love this school and would have no problems sending my children here. If a student wants to learn, there is significant opportunity.”

“My experience with the level of commitment and responsibility of teaching and special ed staff has been dismal. Unfortunately, a child must be extaordinary (and probably lucky) to achieve academic excellence in this school. My son will graduate this year with what I consider to be a middle school level of english & history education, and perhaps 10th grade or slightly better in Math/Sciences. Thanks in large part to our raising his bar - not the school. We are in the minority of parents who think a child deserves to fail if he doesn't do the required work, and we work very hard to see that our son learns something regarless of his grades/GPA. Unfortunately, there is a culture of acceptance for failure at this school where only half the freshman make it through to graduation.”

“This school is 15% amazing, but 85% terrible. The security is sub-par, the administration is pathetic (I have had 7 principals from freshman year to the first grading period of senior year). There are a select group of scholarly students and wonderfully dedicated teachers, but this is the minority.”
